During an interview issued to Collider, Damon Lindelof confessed that he had no ideas on the script for a possible second season of Watchmen, although the screenwriter does not rule out the possibility that the story may continue in the future. Here are his words.
I wish I had an interesting idea for the second season of Watchmen, and at the same time, I really want it to happen. We simply put everything into play with the first season of the TV series. Every great idea that we had about it, we put it in the first season, and we didn't think about 'Oh, let's put it away for later'. And so now I think: could there be a new season of Watchmen? Personally I hope there is, but I don't think it should exist just because people liked the first season of the show.
The cast of the first season consists of Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Jean Smart, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, James Wolk, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon.
