Some producers of "The Office"Have announced in the past that they want to create a new television program that, in essence, would like to" simulate "the famous US TV series, but with all the employees at work in their homes. According to recent leaks, the executive producers Ben Silverman e Paul Liberstein (who also starred in The Office as Toby Flenderson) are developing a new show defined as "an office comedy without an office".
The show would like to be inspired by the way many people work today due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, focusing not so much on the health crisis, but rather on the reality of working from home. Here is what was stated by Lieberstein:
Everyone's attempt to stay away from work is no longer worth it. This kind of integration between home and work brought all these new ideas, stories and characters into play.
