Netflix announces the trailer and the official poster of The terrifying adventures of Sabrina, the original series in 10 episodes that will be available in all countries where the service is active from the next 26 October.
Played by Kirnan Shipka, in the role of Sabrina, the series tells the adventures of the famous witch beloved all over the world, this time in a dark key, tending towards horror. In the same atmosphere as Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation tells the story of Sabrina as she attempts to reconcile her half-human, half-witch dual nature as she tries to fight the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the world of humans.
The screenplay of the series bears the signature of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the Riverdale showrunner, but also the chief creative officer of Archie Comics. Aguirre-Sacasa also worked on the series as an executive producer alongside other Riverdale collaborators: Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Archie Comics founder Jon Goldwater and Lee Toland Krieger.
In addition to Kiernan Shipka, the cast includes: Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot and Gavin Leatherwood.
