The Boys, a series based on the comic of the same name created by Darick Robertson and Garth Ennis, is enjoying great success on the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, in fact, in just two weeks from the debut on the dedicated platform, it became part of the most viewed series available ever. This is also thanks to the great figures present in the cast: in fact we find producers of the caliber of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and actors such as Karl Urban, Elizabeth Shue and Jack Quaid.
Jennifer Salke, responsible of Amazon Studios, explained that the new series The Boys has exceeded the forecasts predicted after the first two weeks post debut of the series available on the portal of Amazon Prime Video, going to place among the most watched series ever:
We are thrilled that The Boys surpassed our forecasts for viewing in its first two weeks and became one of the most followed Amazon Original series by our Prime Video customers. This creates great momentum and excitement as we prepare for the second season.
Eric Kripke, showrunner of The Boys, explained that he wanted to give more depth to the series, in addition to having commented on what happened:
I'm so excited about the reaction to the first season. And above all, it inspires me to commit and work even harder for the second season. I don't want season XNUMX to get bigger, I want it to be deeper. A more intense, crazier, more heartbreaking, more character driven season. My only goal is to make the second season better than the first season
Production is already working on the second season, it has also been confirmed that new characters from The Boys will arrive in the second seasonal cycle.
Finally, remember for those who missed this new and fantastic series, that The Boys is available on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform, an exclusive service for Amazon Prime subscribers.
