Mickey's House has recently unveiled the full cast of the tv series dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi, which will debut exclusively on Disney + soon. The new show will star Ewan McGregor as the famous Jedi Master and will be set about 10 years after the epic clash between Kenobi and his ex Padawan. Anakin Skywalker occurred in "Revenge of the Sith".
In addition to the return of the well-known Scottish actor, he will also return to the series Hayden Christensen, not as Anakin Skywalker but as Darth Vader, the Sith Lord. According to reports, filming will begin in April and will be directed by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian). Ewan McGregor e Christensen they will not be the only faces known to the general public, as the cast will also include: Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and writer Joby Harold will executive produce the series, while Carmen Cuba will serve as casting director. As a precedent confirmed by the Scottish actor himself, filming will begin in April in Los Angeles (not in Boston or other cities in England) and will exploit some of the technologies used to make The Mandalorian. We report in detail the words of Ewan McGregor:
We start making it in late spring and will shoot it here in Los Angeles. We're shooting a lot in the way the Mandalorian series was shot. We are using some of that technology. I really liked that style, its western nature, typical of old-fashioned television westerns. Brilliant.
While waiting to learn more about the new series set in the far distant galaxy, we remind you that the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi not only provides for the return of Ewan McGregor in the role of the famous Jedi Master, but also that of Hayden Christensen in those of the dreaded Darth Vader. We point out that the exclusive Disney + show still does not have an official release date, but we plan to find out more in the coming months.
