Geoff keighley had sparked the discussion when he announced the nominees for his annual Game Awards presentation last week, with the likes of Hades, Ghost of Tsushima e Doom Eternal. The profile Twitter of the event then communicated that the second chapter of The Last of Us managed to win recognition through the votes of the public, which ensured the huge victory to the post-apocalyptic epic of N. In addition to taking home the first prize, The Last of Us Part 2 also managed to get the prize for the best storytelling, best visual design, best audio, PlayStation game of the year and Studio of the year (for Naughty Dog). The game has therefore won a total of six prizes, marking a record performance in the history of the entire ceremony. It will be interesting to see if the success of the title at the Golden Joysticks Awards translates into his victory at the The Game Awards next month, where he will face Hades, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Fans have therefore also expressed themselves for the nominations for next year's GOTY. God of War: Ragnarok has indeed won the award as Most Awaited Game. The next 2021 is thus already potentially dominated by the title of the boys of Santa Monica, given both the internal expectations of the insiders, and the strong hype that has developed among gamers since its first announcement.
