    Half-Life Alyx: Valve explains the reasons behind the choice to make a prequel

    Half-Life Alyx it has recently arrived on the market and has already received a huge reception from international critics. This despite not representing the long-awaited sequel to the series that fans have been waiting for for years, but rather a prequel located between the first and second chapter. Well, Valve was recently interviewed by Edge about it and explained the reasons behind the choice to make a prequel. These are the words of Dario Casali, level designer of the title:



    There is a good reason we decided to make a prequel. We are aware that VR is a limited audience platform, just as we are aware that this is not Half-Life 3. We didn't want to launch a product that not all fans of the series could play and that would continue the story beyond Half-Life. Life 2.

    Everything is therefore aimed at not excluding people without a viewer for a work as important as Half-Life 3, which if it were made in the future will therefore focus on a much wider target. We remind you that Half-Life Alyx is available from last March 23 on PC.
