COD: Black Ops Cold War, the alpha appears on the PNS with a code name

Some users Reddit have pointed out the appearance of a mysterious code that could be linked to the alpha of COD: Black Ops Cold War within the PlayStation Store of North America, suggesting that the next first-person shooter may be in the process of being officially announced. As reported on Reddit by user SerialStation, a PS4 game with the ID tag "COD2020INTALPHA1" (aka Call of Duty 2020 Alpha), with the code name "The Red Door". According to some rumors the next chapter in the saga of Call of Duty it will actually be called COD: Black Ops - Cold War, but The Red Door may just be codenamed that Activision use internally for the project until officially revealed.

In any case, the code name evokes connotations with Communist Russia, practically confirming the rumors that the next chapter of the famous shooter franchise could be set during the cold war and restart the sub-series. COD: Black Ops by Treyarch, which first started in 2010. Also, an image of a list of PSN is circulating on the Internet, purporting to display the game's logo and description, but this looks a lot more suspicious than the SerialStation listing, and can probably be debunked as fake. We just have to wait for more information on the title, which could be presented during the event PlayStation 5 expected for the next 11 June.
