Earlier this month, Martin Scorsese made some comments on the films The Marvel movies which left the actors, directors and fans a little "incredulous" when the director said that the films of MCU, and in general i cinecomics, are not "cinema", as they do not convey emotional and psychological experiences. After Scorsese's unpleasant claims, several exponents have sided in favor of Marvel films, including Samuel L. Jackson (performer of Nick Fury), James Gunn, Kevin Smith and many others. Recently, during an appearance at the BFI London Film Festival, the director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson, shared his thoughts on the Scorsese affair, stating that the director may or may not like what he wants. Here are the words of the director:
First of all, I think Martin Scorsese may like, or not like, everything he wants, and I'm honestly curious to hear what he has to say about the movies and his perspective on it.
Like I said, anyone - Scorsese in particular - can think anything about movies. I'm someone who loves the little things, the big things, and I love the franchise too. "
