Sony e Google together. It might sound strange, yet some users have found a way to use the browser on their PlayStation 5. To inform the web of this possibility was a user on Reddit, who realized that he could use the search engine on his console, after sending it to a friend of his via private message. A pure coincidence, then, but which led to a discovery that could add a feature not wanted by the developers on your next-gen consoles. These are the words of the gamer on the forum:
I just found out how to use Google on PlayStation 5. I was wondering if I can send a video to my friend from YouTube from my phone, so I copied and pasted the link to the text message in the PS app. It works. So I thought, can I send the link to the Google search page to messages from my phone and open it with my PS5? And it worked. I don't know how many people know, for sure not and I got my PS5 day one. In a nutshell: You can open Google on PS5 by submitting the Google search page to your PS5 via the PS app.
By a simple chance, therefore, the user in question has discovered, by sending a YouTube video to a friend of his, that by copying and pasting the Google search page by message, it was possible to open the search engine on the Sony console. We do not know at the moment if this possibility can be exploited on all consoles. Sony does not seem to have noticed at the moment, and we do not exclude that with a future firmware update this ploy cannot be blocked by the same company. A discovery, however, that could open the door to the use of many other features not foreseen on the next-gen console. Let's wait to find out what gamers' experiments will lead to.
