In the past hours Bethesda has published the roadmap 2020 per Fallout 76, illustrating to gamers the future content coming this year, including seasons, balance of combat systems and rewards for the inhabitants of all levels, shelters for the CAMP, legendary talents, Brotherhood of Steel and more. Seasons will have a free progression system that will improve the way rewards are earned by revising the challenge system and replacing it with an account progression. New cosmetic items, elements for the CAMP, atoms, caps, legendary scrips, Talent packs and much more.
The end result will be an engaging, flexible and fun experience for all types of gamers. Additionally, seasons will still be subject to change based on internal playtests and feedback from you players, but they will work as follows:
- Players will see a new option in the main menu which will take them to a seasonal themed progression screen. During season 1, the theme will be Captain Cosmos!
- All players start a season at Rank 1 (out of 100). Advancing on the Captain Cosmos board involves the acquisition of a new currency, SCORE, obtainable through the new system of challenges and other game activities.
- The challenges will be simpler to complete, with tasks that are accomplished simply by playing Fallout 76.
- Rewards are paid out at every grade, with greater rewards the more you advance and according to specific stages (rank 25, 50, 76, etc.).
- Players will spend 150 atoms to advance in rank after the first two weeks of a season. After two weeks, players can speed up their progression by spending atoms if they are left behind.
- The seasons will last 10 weeks with a two-week break between the end of the previous and the beginning of the next.
