For all Dalmatian and fur fans, it stands for get live-action Disney dedicated to the figure of Cruella De Mon. The film will focus on the origins of the cruel woman who became popular thanks to the cartoon La carica dei 101 and later thanks to the interpretation of Glenn Close in 101 Dalmatians - This time the magic is real, and in the sequel The charge of 102 - A new backlash. This time, however, the face of the most famous fur wearer will be that of Emma Stone.
The logline of the film reads “Brilliant. Bad. A little crazy ", and thus anticipates a prequel of the famous exploits of Cruella De Mon narrated in La Carica dei 101. This film is signed by Craig Gillespie, and will see a script written by a team that includes Dana Fox, Tony McNamara, Aline Brosh McKenna, Kelly Marcel and Steve Zissis. Cruella, the famous stylist, will slowly begin to show signs of imbalance and will become scene after scene the bad Disney that we all know. The first photo of the film was released in August 2019 during the D23. On that occasion, it was Emma Stone who explained that Cruella it will be set in seventies punk-rock London, and who will tell what made her so bad. The spark of evil will in fact be triggered when a baroness - interprets from Emma Thompson - will enter the shop where the young woman works, with a “special” necklace around her neck that belonged to the girl's mother.
