Along with the announcement of the brand new iPhone SE 2020, Apple also unveiled the new one Magic Keyboard to iPad Pro, with a unique free tilt design, backlit keyboard and trackpad. This new device is the best way to take advantage of the new support for trackpad introduced with iPadOS 13.4. The new Magic Keyboard is designed for the new iPad Pro but is also compatible with previous generation iPad Pro models.
Starting today, you can order the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro on the Apple website, available at € 339 (11 ″ model) e € 399 (12,9 ″ model), with layouts for over 30 languages including Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. From the press release released it is possible to read:
The Magic Keyboard magnetically attaches to the iPad Pro, holding the beautiful Multi-Touch display suspended above the keys thanks to a free tilt system that allows you to adjust the viewing angle up to 130 °. In its portable design, it packs a full-sized keyboard with backlit keys featuring a scissor mechanism and 1mm travel to write accurately and comfortably anywhere, even when you're holding the device on your lap. The Magic Keyboard's trackpad, with a surface that allows you to click anywhere, complements the iPad touch interface by simplifying navigation and cursor control, and allowing you to work with great precision. Thanks to a USB-C port for pass-through charging, the Magic Keyboard allows you to charge the iPad Pro without occupying the USB-C on the device, which remains free to connect accessories such as discs and external monitors. And for added security, when the Magic Keyboard is docked and closed, iPad Pro's microphones are disabled to avoid compromising any audio data.
The Magic Keyboard takes full advantage of the distinctive features of the iPadOS user experience. When the user moves their finger across the surface of the integrated trackpad, the pointer elegantly transforms to highlight elements of the interface. And with Multi-Touch gestures on the trackpad, the entire operating system can be navigated quickly and easily without the user ever having to lift their hand from the surface. Trackpad support in iPadOS works great with the apps customers use every day. Writing and editing text is a breeze in Pages and Notes, working with multiple objects in Keynote is easier than ever, and the added precision levels make it easy to create and organize even the largest spreadsheets in Numbers.
