Activision may not send Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to press before day one

Activision may not send Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to press before day one

There is still no official news from Activision, but according to reports from VG247.com, it appears that the publisher is intent on do not submit review copies of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice before the game is released. It seems that VG247 received this communication from Activision during a preview event of the game and that this post-launch embargo does not only concern specialized newspapers, but also the various YouTubers.

For the moment, this move by Activision is not clear: in fact we strongly doubt that the title can be subject to negative judgments. Furthermore, it seems there is not even a problem of exclusivity of some titles because, as announced, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will not be delivered to anyone before the release date.

Obviously before drawing hasty conclusions we will have toawait an official response from Activision, but if all of this is confirmed, players would have no way to read a review of the game before March 22, 2019, the date on which Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will make its debut on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Activision has said they wont be releasing review copies of #sekiro ahead of release date.

Usually this would be cause for concern, but it's @fromsoftware_pr we're talking about here; I think these guys have earned the benefit of the doubt.
