In the past few hours the Red Barrels announced the new chapter of Outlast, called "The Outlast Trials". The title, although not a direct sequel to the previous chapters of the famous saga survival horror, will be set in the same "scary" universe. Specifically, the events will be placed during the Cold War. The Outlast Trials will allow players to take on the horror adventure both in single player in that co-op, with up to 3 users. Here are the words of David Chateauneuf, co-founder of Red Barrels:
We are proud to reveal the game's title and first image to our large community and fans. Our team is working to create a new experience that will bring fear and anxiety to millions of players, whether they experiment alone or in company.
The new title developed by Red Barrels is still in the early stages of production and more news will be announced soon.
