According to what is shared by Capcom on the company's official Twitter profile, the beta of Resident Evil Re: Verse, the multiplayer mode of the famous free-for-all survival horror franchise, in which players have the opportunity to take on the role of the main protagonists of the saga in a gigantic battle for survival, has been temporarily suspended due to some matchmaking problems.
We remind you that the Resident Evil Re: Verse beta was made available today, Thursday April 8 2021, and can be tried until the next 11th April. Later, the multiplayer mode will be released next 7st May simultaneously with Resident Evil Village, as part of the same package.
From the moment of its official release, the title will be available for free to all owners of Resident Evil Village. Below you can find the official synopsis of the mode, in addition to the communication released by Capcom in the last few minutes.
In Resident Evil Re: Verse you can test your skills against other players in vengeful battles for survival from as few as four to as many as six people. Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tide of battle with powerful biological weapons. Take part in 5-minute deathmatch matches, where the player with the highest score will emerge triumphant!
Use the weapons and items you find to take down even more powerful opponents and creatures! This new open beta will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam from April 8 to April 11. If you are planning to participate in the Beta, all you have to do is download an automatic update when it becomes available so that you can start playing.
As we are still experiencing issues with the Resident Evil RE: Verse matchmaking service, we have decided to temporarily suspend the servers until further notice to resolve the issue. We will continue to investigate and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
