On the occasion of the release of the physical versions of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch, the publishers Skybound Games e iam8bit, then followed by the software house Moon Studios who created the aforementioned pair of 'Metroidvania' titles, wanted to celebrate this release by donating the large sum of $ 25.000 to Rainforest Trust, an association that for years has been committed to saving and conserving the most endangered tropical forests and the fauna that inhabit them. The initiative started with the executives of iam8bit, who have provided themselves the sum of money that will go to the US organization, but immediately afterwards the developers of Moon Studios and the publisher Skybound Games have also joined, who have decided to donate to the cause also 5% of sales who will play Ori games from 8 to 13 December.
The very first iam8bit game as a publisher is Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch.
As a publisher, we have considered how to best spend the game's marketing budget,
deciding to try to make a positive difference with that money. As we partnered with Moon Studios to release the Ori series on Nintendo Switch, we were impressed with their dedication to expressing nature as a living, breathing entity worthy of protection. Following their lead, we wanted to do our part to preserve nature and are thrilled to work with the wonderful and committed people of the Rainforest Trust to do just that.
This initiative, in addition to advertise rightly, the arrival of physical versions of Ori's games on the hybrid console of the big N, also gives prestige to the three companies that created it, which try to give a big impact to the preservation of natural environments which unfortunately in recent years are risking permanently disappear. In case you want to deepen the latest work of Moon Studios, you can take a look at our review, in which we analyze in depth the second amazing adventure of Ori.
