The new film based on the acclaimed fighting video game Mortal Kombat finally has a release date. It was precisely to reveal it Warner Bros. which set the release date for the US market for the March 5 2021.
The film will be directed by the newcomer Simon McQuoid, his first ever work as a director, produced by James Wan (best known for his numerous horror film productions such as Saw and Annabelle) and scripted by Greg Russo. Filming will take place in Australia in the city of Adelaide.
Several protagonists of the universe created by NetherRealm Studios already announced as Kano, Sonya Blade, Raiden, and a new unreleased character called Cole turner.
This is the third film based on the game of the same name after the successes obtained by Mortal Kombat (1995) and Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997). What do you think of this film? Will it be able to repeat itself again after more than twenty years?
