Good news arrives for all lovers of eSports and of challenges Mortal Kombat. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, NetherRealm Studios and Intersport have revealed new details on the first season of the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition.
The InterContinental Kombat will make its debut in June 2019 and will be organized by Intersport. This first step will offer players of all skill levels the opportunity to compete in four online tournaments in Europe, the Middle East and Australia. Below we propose a small calendar:
- August - Eastern Europe
- August - Middle East
- September - Australia
- September - Western Europe
In the meantime, sthe will host several offline tournaments with a $ 1.000 bonus prize pool for each stage. Below we show you the calendar of these events
- June 15-16 - Fighting Games Challenge (Łódź, Poland)
- July 20-21 - Versus Fighting (Birmingham, UK)
- 27-29 September - UFA (Paris, France)
- 3-6 October - IgroMir (Moscow, Russia)
Qualifying in one of these events will guarantee players a place in the international finals which will be held at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden, from November 29th to December 1st. In addition to the $ 10.000 prize pool, the winner of the Interkontinental Kombat will also be able to compete in the Final Kombat, the final of the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition championship, scheduled for the first quarter of 2020 in Chicago. Those who want to follow this event from home, and all the other Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition tournaments, will be able to do so through the Twitch channel of NetherRealm Studios.
