According to what has emerged in the last few hours, it would seem that Electronic Arts is continuing to experiment with new ideas. A new patent from the US giant would suggest that the company is looking to implement voice commands within its next titles, which should allow us to perform customized actions directly with our voice. At the moment we don't know if this new feature will really be implemented in the next titles EA, you see Star Wars Jedi, Command and Conquer, Mass Effect or the same FIFA, but the details that have emerged are truly exciting.
The technology in question would not seem so basic, given that in addition to adding the ability to perform an action within the game, the patent suggests that the feature also has associated learning models, therefore capable of picking up tones, accents and other small facets of the user's voice. This would significantly improve the game mechanics, which over the years have flattened out a bit, making the conversations of a hypothetical new Mass Effect even more branched, since in this case the AI would understand the conversations via voice command. as opposed to simple options, styled yes or no, with an input from the controller.
Although Electronic Arts is not among the publishers most appreciated by gamers, mainly due to the important presence of microtransactions within its titles, it would seem that the American studio intends to change course, regaining the trust of users thanks to the implementation in the next games of new technologies, which would aim to enhance not only the graphics sector (patent dedicated to facial animations), but also significantly improve the gameplay through the use of voice commands. While waiting to find out more details on this revolutionary technology, we remind you to take this information with due precautions, since EA hasn't officially shown anything.
