After more than three years of development, finally the new work of the creator of final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, shows itself in all its beauty. The development of Fantasian is now almost complete and today two new trailers dedicated to the history and gameplay of this classic RPG, with turn-based combat and random encounters, have been released, arriving exclusively on Apple Arcade during this 2021. To further enrich Sakaguchi's great work, the team of Mistwalker founded by himself in 2004, he even created gods handmade dioramas, which were then transported into the game and will be the setting for all the areas that our heroes will be able to visit.
The tale begins in a kingdom ruled by machines. In the midst of this universe, the balance between "Order and Chaos" has become a key factor in the battles between these realms and the machinations of the gods attempting to control them. Players will step into the shoes of Leo, who is awake after a gigantic explosion devoid of any memory, and it will be our task to recover them in this world that is about to be swallowed by a bizarre mechanical disease. The story was written by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and the soundtrack was composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
Fantasian will therefore be composed of more than 150 different fully explorable dioramas, which will make the visual style of the work unique, which according to the director himself “made him remember how much he loved the JRPG genre“. The gameplay, as you can admire in the video at the top of the news, is very reminiscent of the classic style of turn-based combat to which almost all Japanese RPGs have accustomed us, even if in our adventure we will be given the opportunity to send some of the monsters captured into gods dimensional dungeons, which will facilitate our battles, allowing us to explore with complete calm. Fantasian is expected to arrive on Apple devices during 2021.
