2019 was certainly a year full of video games that was able to keep every gamer glued to the screen for several hours. However, there are those who have had to deal with their mistakes in the past year; among these in fact we find BioWare that, after the misstep with Mass Effect Andromeda in 2017, tried to shuffle the cards and propose a new IP at times futuristic that would be well tested with the numerous online elements that are so fashionable nowadays. The result, unfortunately, was bad.
In fact, critics rejected the title in almost every respect and the community quickly abandoned the title due to too many design errors that such a work cannot afford. After various patches, updates and more the situation has not improved, to the point that, yesterday, BioWare stated that she was officially committed to the project Anthem Next with the aim of recreating and redesigning all aspects of past production in the best possible way. And in the meantime? The company wanted to clarify that the title will still be updated and supported in the meantime with new seasonal content, events and activities. Also for the end of February there will be a special event dedicated to the first year of the title.
It is still unclear if Anthem Next will be released as a free update or if it is a "new" title coming out in conjunction with the next generation consoles, so as to be able to start from "zero" and take advantage of a new user that could give him a second chance on day one.
