The news of a possible postponement of the new film The Batman, although very obvious, it was still a single rumor. Unfortunately, however, due to the stop of filming due to the Coronavirus epidemic, Warner Bros. Pictures had to officially declare the postponement of the release in American theaters.
Initially scheduled for June 2021, following the worldwide lockdown for the health emergency which consequently led to the stop of filming during the month of March, Batman film is now scheduled for October 1, 2021, that is, four months after the first set date. Not only the Dark Knight suffered this delay but many other works of the film house: other films like the film on Elvis by Baz Luhrmann has been postponed to November 5, 2021; King Richard, instead, starring Will Smith, it was postponed to November 19, 2021; The Many Saints of Newark, the prequel film of the TV series The Sopranos initially scheduled for September, will be released in theaters on March 12, 2021; Shazam 2, finally, will no longer be released in theaters on April 1, 2022 but on November 4, 2022. The only film that has even been anticipated (probably for reasons of dates) is The Flash, now scheduled for June 3, 2022 instead of July 1.
