The 7 games we would like to see as a TV series after The Last of Us and The Witcher

As almost everyone knows by now, HBO has announced a TV series dedicated to The Last of Us, undisputed masterpiece of N, which is preparing to release its sequel on May 29th. Recently, however, Netflix has also released its original series The Witcher, which has proved to be very valid even for the most demanding fans. So the new path now seems to have been traced, even video games will in all probability be sucked into the vortex of TV series. We are obviously happy if this actually happens, as it would be an excellent opportunity to further expand already rich and complex narrative universes. Precisely for this reason we began to travel with the imagination and we let ourselves be carried away, imagining which videogame works we would see well on the small screen.

Bioshock

The universe of Bioshock it is certainly full of mystery and cruelty. Rapture is a disturbing city that demonstrates how much man can fall down every time he tries to get close to God, or if we want we can also compare it to the story of Icarus, who sees his li melt as soon as he got too close to the sun. The time frame between its construction and its decay could be perfect. Another option, even if much more risky, could be to narrate the events of the first chapter from a more general point of view, perhaps expanding the knowledge of some characters. Recreating the same climate of tension would be a very difficult mission but certainly not impossible.

Fallout

Lovers of the post apocalyptic here will find bread for their teeth: the story about how the world of Fallout it has fallen into disrepair we all know it a bit, even if it has never been properly investigated: re-proposing it in a TV series key would almost give new life to the brand and would in some ways clarify. The bases could be the most classic, or the protagonist who wakes up in the Vault on duty and makes his way gradually in a world reduced to radioactive rubble, obviously facing unpublished stories. Little by little, new information could be discovered which, through video or other finds, would make up a larger and more complex mosaic of how humanity was actually (or rather, did it by itself) brought to its knees.

God of War

The epic of Kratos for many fans it would be pure gold, as there would be so much to face and discover. Leaving aside the spectacularity that could be given by the fight scenes, the topics to be addressed would be many. I personally would like to see Kratos' journey that took him from Greece to the great north narrated, discover the things he saw and the first meeting with the woman who will become the mother of Atreus. It would be nice to discover that side of the God of war seen in the new God of War, almost more human and in some ways understandable. Its change and its maturation would be the driving force of a story - and if you like, destiny - much greater than we still believe.

The Elder Scrolls

In the world of The Elder Scrolls the stories are practically endless, being able to identify the incipit of the plot is practically impossible. However we are aware of how ruthless and brutal the regions of this universe can be, something in the style of "Game of Thrones" would be perfect. Poverty, disease, wars, wizards and marauders, are just some of the characteristics that a series of The Elder Scrolls could have in all its rawness, without calculating the monstrous creatures that swarm the lands. The undeciphered number of races that live among them could shape scenarios and combinations that are really different from each other, which could also be reflected in the supporting actors who would give life to the TV series. The strong magical element would give excellent ideas, however, very careful attention should be paid to balance this aspect of production in order not to lead to ridicule.

The Legend of Zelda

The story of the princess Zelda and the fearless hero Link it is now known all over the world. Dozens of video games, always different and adapted with different styles from each other, come to life on various Nintendo consoles, focusing ideas upon ideas. Since we have already lived through the period of a "cartoon" of The Legend of Zelda, and since there are dozens of comics dedicated to the project, it is time to see a live-action series dedicated to Hyrule, perhaps that can tell another alternative world, where Link will have to face challenges after challenges to save his land and his princess from the wicked Ganon.

Metroid

The character of Samus Aran, which appeared for the first time in 1986, was in all respects an emblem of courage. Heroine ante litteram (we are talking about one of the first female protagonists), her space adventures follow themes that in the last 10 years have been heavily covered in TV series, and it would be fantastic to be able to observe a reinterpretation of the sci-fi genre where, instead of the focus on team or team, the focus shifts instead to the adventures of this bounty hunter and her collaboration with the Galactic Federation. And if we assume that in combat he uses a fantastic armor full of skills, the dish is served.

Crash Bandicoot

The icon Sony it has already had its own television production: we are talking about a series developed in collaboration between the French and the Americans, which sees ours Crash Bandicoot struggling with the Doctor Neo Cortex in what looks like an adventure inspired by the remake released a few years ago. However, seeing new adventures, perhaps developed with a larger budget and with a specific style, could be a winning choice. On the other hand, we are talking about a character who has become an icon for PlayStation 1 and which, after decades, has returned fresher than before. Some things never get old.
