Some hours ago, GoPro has unveiled its latest generation of action cameras coming out for the series Hero, now reached the eighth step. In addition to presenting this fantastic new room, the American giant has also made known the brand new Hero Max 360. Both are already available for pre-order and will be available for purchase in stores starting in early November. The characteristics of the two action cameras, GoPro Hero 8 e GoPro Hero Max 360, are similar but let's see them in detail.
As for the GoPro Hero 8, the company has given it an aesthetic very similar to last year's model, adding only a new integrated and modular attachment with the possibility of being able to attach it to a tripod or other accessories without the need for an ad hoc case, an important step forward compared to the Hero 7 class.
A further important novelty is the possibility of being able to implement the action cam with a series of optional mods and / or accessories that serve to improve its performance, such as a front screen, lights or even a microphone in order to have the best possible results during the live broadcasts that many YouTube and Instagram influencers have been using for some time, all with a resolution of 1080p. The mods will be available starting at $ 49.99 with the possibility of being able to pre-order them until December.
Furthermore, GoPro in the Hero 8 has made significant improvements in terms of software with the inclusion of the new named stabilization technology HyperSmooth 2.0 and with the introduction of the new time-lapse feature called TimeWarp. Also improved HDR, audio, and finally the addition of an appreciable option, the Live Burst, very similar to the Live Photos of the iPhone.
Finally, GoPro has put the Hero 8 on Media Mod providing the action cam with a 3.5mm jack input, HDMI output, an integrated directional microphone and two hot shoe mounts to which a 200 lumen illuminator can also be attached.
With regard to the Max 360, GoPro called it a “next-level vlogging camera” thanks to its own two 180 ° lenses, six microphones and a front display. Furthermore, all users after recording a video will be able to segment it and export the videos as small video clips.
GoPro Hero 8 it will cost 429.99 euros, while as regards the GoPro Max 360 its cost will start from 529.99 euros.
