Netflix has recently announced the release of The Witcher: Blood Origin, a miniseries in 6 parts inspired by the world of The Witcher and prequel to the series itself starring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey. According to what emerged, the show will be set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, this prequel will tell the origin of the very first "witcher" and the events that will lead to the fundamental "conjunction of the spheres", when the worlds of monsters , men and elves joined together to become one. Furthermore, the filming will take place in Britain.
Declar de Barra will work as a showrunner as well as an executive producer alongside Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Andrzej Sapkowski he will be creative consultant for the series.
