All lovers and fans of the television series The Walking Dead, or who by mistake has seen some episodes of the last seasons, will surely be impressed by the villain played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Aka Negan, and from his simple yet particular spiked baseball bat that he always carries with him to which he gave the name of Lucille. The name, as many of you will know, is certainly no coincidence. It is in fact the wife, played by the guest star Hilarie Burton, which we will be able to see in one of the last six episodes of the season arriving at the beginning of 2021. Furthermore, Burton is the real wife even in private life, a sign that sometimes “combining home and shop” is not that difficult. We then learn the official casting by AMC, and the presence of the woman on the show as a guest star.
Fans of the comic, who we remember being born before the show, already know more or less what to expect. In the original product of Robert Kirkman, Negan was accompanied by a woman named Lucille before the world fell from grace. However, she was fighting a long illness against cancer, an event that brought her partner (the two had never married) closer to dedicate as much time and care as possible until the end of his seconds. On the day of his death, Lucille turned into Wandering, although the virus had not yet spread all over the world. In honor, but above all in memory of his late wife, Negan has thus chosen to name his weapon after his wife who has just passed away.
The final six episodes of the season, in an almost anthological format, seem to focus particularly on individual characters or groups of people in a staggered time of a few hours, with Negan at the center of this timeline. All that remains is to wait and see how this last season of The Walking Dead will end.
