After the official announcement last June, here is the first trailer of the new branded work released Pixar. We are talking about the animated film titled Soul, directed by the president Pixar in person Pete Docter (Up, Coco) which will arrive in cinemas in the course of 2020 (the official release date still to be confirmed).
The protagonist of this work, Joe Gardner (whose voice will be interpreted by the actor Jamie Foxx) is a musician who, after dying from an accident, has the opportunity to discover his deepest self. The theme of this animation work is in fact the afterlife. Joe, in the course of his life, had to put aside his dreams as a jazz musician to be a teacher; following a new artistic engagement, however, he accidentally loses his life by falling into a manhole. It is here that the film really kicks off, with its anthropomorphic soul projected into a sort of parallel universe where he will meet other souls like him and learn what is really important to achieve in the course of each one of us' lives.
Soul will hit US theaters on June 19 2020. Not only the film in question will be released in the next year, but also the new and original project entitled Onward will be released worldwide in March 2020.
