One of the manga that most of all have revolutionized not only the genre of the 'spokon' (comics whose stories are set in the world of sports) but has also set new standards for writing and storytelling in this sector has been Slam dunk, the fourth opera of the mangaka Takehiko Inoue who alone managed to make all Japan fall in love with the world of the basket ball. Over the years more and more people have approached this splendid work, which has also managed to land on other media with an anime series and even videogame titles, managing to become a real cultural phenomenon even outside the Land of the Rising Sun.
Unfortunately, Slam Dunk has disappeared from the spotlight for a few years, also because Inoue is busy working on the two series still in publication "Vagabond"And"Keep it Real.“, But surprisingly this morning the mangaka announced through a small teaser on his official Twitter profile that he is working on an animated film dedicated to Slam Dunk. Unfortunately for now nothing else is known about this project, except that it will be produced by the studio Toei Animation and that will see the return to the big screen of the Shohoku High basketball team.
This surprise announcement has blown away a lot of fans, who surely already have their mouth watering and they can't wait to rush into the room (hoping they will reopen safely as soon as possible, despite the numerous postponements) to enjoy a new adventure dedicated to Slam Dunk, which last year celebrated its 30th anniversary from its first official release, which took place in the distant past October 1 1990 in the Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, when for the first time the Japanese public got acquainted with the young brawler Hanamichi Sakuragi.
