Resident Evil 4 Remake: director Shinji Mikami talks about it

We have been talking for some time now about the possible development of Resident Evil 4 Remake, although we still do not have any certainty about it. Given the chain publication of the first three resident evil it is not difficult to think that a fourth chapter may have been in the works for some time now. So far there have been several leaks and rumors about it, culminating in the certainty of Dusk Golem, famous insider famous for his leaks on Twitter, but still missing an entry from within Capcom that confirms everything. In this regard he speaks Shinji Mikami, who recently celebrated his parents 30 years in the gaming industry and, more precisely, of Capcom.

Shinji Mikami, director of the original Resident Evil 4 and of the first Resident Evil, as well as a famous character for the Resident Evil saga, especially with its fourth chapter that led the saga to obtain a much more horrifying imprint than its predecessors, aimed more on an action key. Despite a first wave of disavowal and non-acceptance of the title for its differences, Resident Evil 4 became appreciated, reaching the great success that still distinguishes it from the other chapters of the series.

As for Resident Evil 4 Remake, in the direct interview from Alex Stedman, Mikami replied: "They have a good formula for taking IPs and using them routinely to create revenue and this is a great way to increase business." Stedman also points out that Mikami has not been contacted since Capcom team, which however recently announced its green light for a remake. If this were the case and it were to be Resident Evil 4, Mikami would not have any problem, as long as it is a job well done, as he claimed this summer in an interview with IGN.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will certainly be interesting, considering the way in which the previous remakes have been handled and how part of their history has been altered and cut. The fourth installment of the series could improve and have some additions instead, especially if it really has been in development for so long compared to the third remake, which came out only a year after the second. So we just have to wait for official news on the matter, despite already having a good number of leaks to date in support of the fact that Capcom is working on the remake of Resident Evil 4. We can therefore conclude by saying that the title may be in development, but that to date there is no certainty, unfortunately.
