A little over a year ago, Netflix has decided to please many fans of the Japanese animated universe by inserting it in its catalog Neon Genesis Evangelion. The fans weren't particularly happy with the new dubbing (given the impossibility of using the original one due to the rights of Dynit). Many youtubers - belonging to the world of dubbing - have made videos about it. The main blame for the general discontent was attributed to the adaptation of Gualtiero Cannarsi - famous for using noble and complex terms within his adaptations -. Given the thousands of controversies, the platform immediately decided to remove the dubbing in other languages (leaving the original version subtitled) to renew it again.
Today, to the delight of many, an adaptation completely new has landed on the platform. the place of Cannarsi was taken from Laura Cosenza. As for the dubbing, already perfect as it was, we will still find: Stefano Broccoletti (Shinji), Domitilla D'Amico (Misato), Barbara De Bortoli (Ritsuko), Lucrezia Marricchi (Rei), Roberto Draghetti (Gendo), Oliviero Dinelli (Fuyutsuki) e Sara Labidi (Asuka).
Evangelion was born in 1995 and is composed of 26 episodes. Over the years we have seen several sequels and spin-offs, but the main series created by Hideaki Anno remains the most iconic and known. The anime features references biblical, arcane, Jewish and religious in general, as well as from deep awareness and psychological analysis of the various characters - through long interior monologues -. This is why the series is defined by many touching and thrilling, but at times slightly heavy e difficult to follow. Despite the various criticisms, for twenty-five years it remains one of the most viewed Japanese animated series ever.
We hope that after this umpteenth change, all fans of the series can finally say they are satisfied with the European version of Neon Genesis Evangelion. For all the news about this and other titles, as usual we will not fail to keep you constantly updated.
