My Friend Pedro, one of the most acclaimed titles by critics and audiences in recent years, will also have its transposition on the small screen. Well yes, one TV series based on the indie title was recently announced by Legendary Entertainment, DJ2 Entertainment and 87North Productions. As we had amply anticipated, the script of the project will be there David Kolstad, co-creator of John Wick, also executive producing.
Little is known for the moment, except that it will deal with themes in a dramatic and, at the same time, ironic way. The show, which apparently has an "R" rating, ie forbidden to children under 17 without the accompaniment of an adult, will be divided into various episodes lasting about half an hour each.
Among the producers, as reported at the beginning, we find Legendary Entertainment which has acquired the rights for the adaptation. Together will be Leitch, Johnson, Stephan Bugaj and Howard Bliss; and Mike Wilson, co-founder of Devolver Digital. We remind you that the original title, My Friend Pedro, is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
