During the conference of Disney Investor Day 2020 several of the most important projects that the Burbank multinational has in store for the next few years were presented and revealed, including TV series and new feature films dedicated to the studios' most important franchises. During the panel dedicated to The Marvel movies, presented by Kevin Feige in person, several news regarding the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe have been announced, which thanks to Disney + it will also begin to involve some TV series within it. Among the many episodic productions that will soon arrive on the new streaming platform, during the convention the "Ms Marvel", A series that will follow the events of the sixteen-year-old Pakistani Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) struggling with the awakening of her latent powers as an inhuman, and that will arrive on Disney + in the second half of 2021.
Despite the pandemic, filming dedicated to this new series has already begun, as reported by a tweet from Charles Murphy, so many fans and enthusiasts hope to see Kamala's exploits as soon as possible. Continuing with his onstage speech, Feige also talked about Captain Marvel 2, sequel to the events dedicated to the superheroine Carol Danvers and set temporally after the events of Avengers: Endgame. In addition to having obviously reconfirmed Brie Larson in the role of Danvers, during the panel she was also confirmed the presence of Ms Marvel herself in this sequel, which will hit theaters in the next November 11 2022.
Concluding the section dedicated to Captain Marvel, Kevin Feige also confirmed the presence of Monica rambeau in adult version, just as we will see it in a few months also in WandaVision and played by Teyonah Parris, suggesting that the team of three superheroines will have to team up to fight a never-before-seen evil. At the moment we still don't have an official launch date for the Ms Marvel series, although on Disney Investor Day it was confirmed that it will arrive on Disney + by the end of 2021.
