Looking forward to knowing the fate of Metroid Prime 4 (now missing from the radar for over 800 days), we report the news of the publication of one demo di Metroid Prime 2D made by some fans of the Sci-Fi series Retro Studios. By clicking here you can download the demo, the availability of which has been announced in the pages of the dedicated forum (prime2d.com), accompanied by the following words:
Hello everyone! The time has finally come for the first public demo of Prime 2D. When we first published it, this post was an April Fool with fake screenshots, hiding the fact that it was actually our real demo, but we can cancel that joke now that April 1st is over. Thanks again for your patience!
Metroid Prime 2D is an amateur project whose work started in 2004 from SCU team. The demo had already been released on April 1st, but most of the fans thought it was an April Fool (and instead it was just an unfortunate coincidence!). In recent years, the developers have worked on the technical sector of the title, as well as on the introduction of new content, in order to offer a produced as close and respectful as possible to the style of the series Metroid Prime.
Metroid Prime 2D belongs to the genre of Two-dimensional Sci-Fi shooters, as should be Metroid Prime 4, whose announcement dates back toE3 2017. The development of the fourth chapter was initially entrusted to Bandai Namco, only to be hijacked in favor of the guys from Retro Studios, developers of the original series. Work has been restarted from scratch and currently the game does not have a launch date. The availability of Metroid Prime 2D is still uncertain; beyond the publication of this demo, no other details are known about the possibility of actually having a complete product in your hands, sooner or later.
Finally, we remind you that at the beginning of 2021 the possible started to circulate online exit date of Metroid Prime 4, apparently unveiled by Amazon.
