Fans of Insomniac Games they are certainly thrilled with the arrival of the promising one Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales which, we recall, is outgoing in PlayStation 5 exclusive by the end of the current year. To try to relax the hearts of fans, Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a long article, complete with video interview, on the PlayStation Blog where Brian Horton (creative director of the game) spoke about this important work for the development team.
Brian wrote about how the game focuses entirely on Miles Morales as he discovers new powers that set him apart from his mentor Peter Parker. The choice to include Morales as part of Peter's world came to Bryan Intihar (creative director of the original Marvel's Spider-Man), an idea that was immediately appreciated given the great appreciation that the members of the team feel for the character. For this reason the team has set to work on an entire game dedicated to this hero, so as to carry out an in-depth study of his version of Spider-Man together with a cultural background that reflects more a more modern and diversified world. The guys at Insomniac Games are planning to bring players back to their world with a new story, new environments, new enemies and new missions.
This adventure is set one year after the 2018 game, just before Christmas Eve, when a fierce battle between an electric company and a criminal army breaks out near Morales' home. For the development team this stand-alone spin-off is important to expand the following narrative universe and they have reassured that the product can demonstrate the power of PlayStation 5. This is due to near-instant uploads, ray-tracing, 3D audio, the DualSense controller, updated characters and cities, improved skin shading and even hair that moves more and more naturally.
Insomniac Games has however promised that Peter Parker's story isn't over and who still have a lot to tell, but before that they preferred to deepen the stories of Miles Morales. Waiting to find out the actual release date of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and that of PlayStation 5, we remind you that at the following link you can watch the trailer of this project from the guys of Insomniac Games.
