The history of the production of Lucifer is rather troubled: produced by FOX and canceled in the summer of 2018, thanks to the intervention of the fans the series was saved by Netflix who acquired the rights to produce the fourth season and renew the series for a fifth and final season, coming this year. Well, however, according to some recent rumors, Netflix is currently in talks to further renew the starring series Tom Ellis and produce the sixth season.
According to what was reported by TV Line, in fact, Netflix is currently looking for an agreement with Warner Bros. Television to pick up the series again and order new episodes that would make up the sixth season. We don't know if this information is true as there is no official statement yet, but TV Line seems particularly certain of its source.
We remind you that the first four seasons of Lucifer are currently available on Netflix. The show's fifth season will arrive later this year, but the official release date has not yet been revealed.
