In a recent interview with Empire Tom Hiddleston, the actor who has held the role of Loki since the film Thor in 2011, has expressed himself on the matter by revealing that the logo of the series, which in the trailers changes the fonts of the four letters continuously, could hide one of the main themes of the show. Here are his words on the matter:
I don't want to anticipate too much of the show but I would like to put your attention on the logo, Loki's logo keeps changing shape. Loki is the shapeshifter par excellence. His changing nature is that you don't know if he will be a hero, a villain or an anti-hero. You don't know if you can trust him. It literally and physically changes the form into an Asgardian guard, or Captan America. Thor talks about how he once turned into a snake.
I think the shape-shifting logo might give you an idea that Loki, the TV series, is about identity, and about integrating the fragments of the many selves we can be, and perhaps the many selves we actually are. I thought it was pretty exciting because I always found Loki's character very complex.
