During the presentation Disney Investor Day 2020 the company showed the first official trailer of Loki, the series of Marvel Cinematic Universe which will see the return of Tom Hiddlestone in the role of the homonymous Marvel villain and will arrive on the streaming platform Disney +. Written by Michael Waldron and directed by Kate herron, the series will follow the story of the iconic character immediately following the events of Avengers: Endgame. At the moment nothing official has been revealed yet regarding the general plot of Loki, although it was previously revealed that he will be played by several actors, namely by Owen Wilson (Zoolander, The Tenenbaums, Midnight in Paris), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The girl in the painting, Beyond the Lights, In the folds of time), Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday, A Night with the Queen, The Darkest Universe) and Richard E. Grant (Shakespeare at breakfast, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Logan-The Wolverine) on a journey that will see the different versions of the God of deception move in different historical periods and universes. Production of the television series began earlier this year, although it was briefly halted by the coronavirus pandemic. We just have to wait for more information on the development of the series, which will debut on the streaming platform next May.
