Harry Potter it is certainly among the greatest book and movie series of all time. Although the saga ended in 2011, the latest rumors tell us of a possible new cinematic future for the brand. In fact, in a recent interview Rupert Grint, the actor who played Ron Weasley, and who is now preparing for the release of the second season of serving, he also talked about reprising the role of Weasley if the opportunity arises:
I do not know. I mean, never say never. He has been a huge part of my life and I am very fond of that character and his stories. So yeah, I mean, I'd be ready at the right time. I don't know how that could happen, but yes, we'll see.
For now, Grint is pretty focused on being a dad, a new milestone in his life reached in 2020. Fatherhood has actually added a whole new dynamic to his acting work, particularly in serving, as the series centers on a couple who lose their child.
I think it's probably the worst series to be a part of if you've just become a dad. We filmed this season in full pandemic with all the necessary precautions. I had the baby during that time and went back to be with my family as soon as I could.
At the moment, it is not clear what the future of the saga is, nor that of the actors. Recently, the world of Harry Potter has been shaken by the situation linked to Johnny Depp and Warner Bros., who for legal reasons had to abandon his role in Fantastic animals. On the videogame front, however, the next release of Hogwarts legacy could rekindle the enthusiasm of fans for the saga, and why not, give new ideas for possible new films. We just have to wait, and also hope for the return of the main protagonists.
