Ark System Works, through his Twitter profile, announced that Guilty Gear Strive, whose expected release date was April 9, 2021, has been postponed. The game will now be released on June 11, 2021. The postponement is due to the developer's desire to improve the system of lobby and server stability, based on the feedback received from users who have tried the recent one open beta, who had identified critical issues precisely in these two fields. Another problem involved the inability to ask for a rematch from the opponent at the end of the game, forcing players to return to the lobby. The software house thus aims to provide players with a better gaming experience. The title had already undergone a previous postponement due to the coronavirus. Here are the statements:
Dear customers,
We have made the difficult decision to move the release of Guilty Gear Strive (previously scheduled for April 9, 2021) to June 11, 2021.
From the feedback we have received after the recent Open Beta Test, we would like to take this opportunity to deliver the best possible game. We need more time to smooth out some aspects of the game, such as online lobbies and server stability.
We believe it is best to use additional time to improve the quality of the game and provide a better experience for our players.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Recall that the game is the latest chapter in the beloved series of technical fighting games. The title will provide a roster of 15 base characters, plus 5 more to be added through DLC contained in the first Season Pass, which will also introduce an extension of the story mode, two stages and colors for some characters. The gameplay will maintain its complexity and depth, but will also open up to the less experienced. The graphic style adopted will be that of 2,5D in anime style. Guilty Gear Strive will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 e PC.
