When the hip hop duo Run the jewels released the single NO SAVE POINT, complete with a music video, for the soundtrack of cyberpunk 2077, the result was the so-called Celebrity Paradox. This phenomenon occurs when a work of fiction depicts an actor existing in the same universe as the character he is playing. How to justify the parallel existence of these two figures in the same universe, considering also that the duo Run the Jewels will not appear in the game not in their shoes but as Yankee and the Brave?
The senior quest designer Patrick K. Mills decided to clarify the singular situation by explaining that in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe Keanu Reeves is a "little known actor of the Collapse era", often mistaken for Johnny Silverhand (the character played by Reeves) due to his strange resemblance. Reeves has become a big part of Cyberpunk 2077 and its marketing, with his screen time doubling at his request from initial plans. His appearance at E3 2019 spawned various memes around him that are nothing short of "breathtaking", with even a trophy / achievement referencing the iconic curtain. Finally, we remind you that CD Project Red will return with a fifth live streaming dedicated to cyberpunk 2077 Thursday November 19 2020. This new Night City Wire will focus precisely on the character played by Keanu Reeves. Cyberpunk 2077 will be launched the 10 December and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PC, obviously except for further (and tragic) postponements.
