The health emergency Coronavirus continues to temporarily block the world of entertainment, forcing numerous film companies to suspend or postpone the filming of films currently in production. During these months, many titles have been postponed pending the reopening of the cinemas, including numerous works Sony e The Marvel movies, but the list unfortunately continues to be updated almost daily. Among the new titles temporarily suspended we also find John Wick 4, Spiral e Lionsgates Antebellum and one of the two films dedicated to the franchise Paramount's Transformers.
The Heroic Hollywood website reported that the fourth installment of John Wick is slipped to 27 Maggio 2022. The title was previously to be released in May 2021, but the filming of Matrix 4 - which has itself been postponed - prevented the protagonist Keanu Reeves to shoot a large number of scenes. Filming is currently scheduled for May 2021, but we still don't know if the title will suffer further delays. Collider reported that too Spiral - Saw's legacy has been postponed for a year, postponing the release date to 21 Maggio 2021. The release of the eighth film in the saga Saw was due to come out next May 15 and sees as protagonists Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella e Marisol Nichols.
Always Collider reported that the release of Antebellum was postponed for four months, bringing the title to theaters on August 21th, 2020. The new horror film by Lionsgate directed by rookies Gerard Bush e Christopher Renz it was originally supposed to come out on April 24th. The Deadline website reports that the new chapter of the Transformers suffered the same fate, and Paramount was forced to postpone the film until June 24 2022. Paramount has announced that it is working on two different films in the series, including the sequel to the spin-off Bumblebee released in 2018, while the other is expected to be a spin-off based on the animated TV series Beast Wars: Transformers.
