According to the portal deadline.com, the TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine it will end with the eighth season, which will consist of 10 episodes and should be finished by 2022. The series was originally featured on Fox, which accompanied the production for the first five seasons before canceling it. At that point, in 2018, the NBC decided to continue the events narrated with new seasons.
Lisa Katz, president of the NBC production company, said on the matter:
I still remember the thrill of that night in 2018 when we announced Brooklyn Nine-Nine would be returning from NBC. We have always loved these characters and the world in which they can make you laugh but reflect at the same time. Thanks to our wonderful partners, Dan Goor, the incredibly talented writers, producers, cast and crew, it will be a story that will continue to be loved even after some time.
Dan Goor, one of the major producers of Brooklyn Nine-Nine added:
I am so grateful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give these characters - and our fans too - the ending they deserve. When Mike Schur and I first introduced the pilot episode to Andy, he told me, "I'm into it, but I think the only way to make the series work, there should be exactly 153 episodes." Which is crazy, because it was just the same number Mike and I had figured out at.
I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with this amazing cast and crew for eight seasons. They are not only professionals, but also wonderful people and have become family to me. But most of all, I feel blessed to have had the best fans in the world. Fans who saved the show from being canceled. Fans who fill us with joy. Having to finish the series was a tough decision, but in the end we thought it was the best way to honor the characters, the story and our viewers. I know some people will be disappointed that it ends so soon, but honestly, I'm thankful it lasted so long.
