In the past few hours it has been confirmed that the comic saga of Bone, made by Jeff Smith, is about to get an adaptation as a children's animated series for the streaming service Netflix. Comics tell the adventures of cousins Bone, Phoney, smiley e Fone Bone, intent on “living” adventures scattered all over the world, letting themselves be guided simply by the imagination. During their imaginary journeys they will encounter various obstacles, including the evil Locust Lord, a threat to the whole of humanity.
During a recent interview, Jeff Smith said:
I've waited a long time for this. Netflix is the perfect home for my work. Fans of books know that the story unfolds chapter by chapter and book by book. An animated series is exactly the perfect way to do it! The Netflix team has figured out Bone and will be committed to doing something special - this is good news for kids and cartoon lovers around the world.
It is not yet known when the new animated series on Bone will be available on Netflix's streaming platform.
