In step with the times, in a playful way, Bethesda celebrates in its own way the news of the official acquisition of the company (and of the entire Zenimax) by Microsoft (here the official press release written by Phil Spencer on the subject). The company, through its official Twitter profile, has in fact published a very short video showing the classic on-screen animation - so loved by all those who own an Xbox console - which warns players of the unlocking an Achievement (a "trophy", a "goal").
The original tweet is not accompanied by a single, single word, but can be seen at the bottom of this news. According to the latest rumors, Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda could push the Xbox Game Pass subscription service of the Colossus of Redmond. For a few days we had already reported the news, moreover, that the commission of the United States of America had approved the operation between, in fact, Microsoft and Bethesda (as well as with Zenimax, in a more general sense).
The entire press release prepared by Phil Spencer we have already linked it at the beginning. Below, however, we offer you an excerpt:
This is an exciting day for Xbox. Today we officially complete the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. It is an honor to welcome eight incredibly talented development studios - Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios - and their passionate global communities in the Xbox family. Now that everything is official, we can start working together to bring more great games to everyone. With every step towards this moment, I have been inspired and motivated by Bethesda's creativity, intuition and community-based approach of talented people. Our goal is to provide these teams with the best foundation to do their best work and learn from them as we continue to transform Xbox into an inclusive platform for all players.
