Disney officially launched the site "For Your Consideration Award 2019", a site dedicated to film productions released in 2019 by the house of Mickey Mouse and in contention for this year's Oscars. Among the candidate films certainly could not miss Avengers: Endgame. Exactly one year after the success of Black Panther, production Marvel / Disney, which became the first superhero movie nominated for best picture, the house of Mickey Mouse is pushing Endgame in different categories of the competition, including:
- best movie
- best director, Anthony and Joe Russo
- best screenplay, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely
- the best cinematography, Trent Opaloch
- best original score, Alan Silvestri
- best film editing
- best production design
- best costume design
- best makeup and hairstyles
- best mixing of sounds
- best sound editing
- best visual effects.
At the moment, from the list released by Disney, we can see a great absentee, namely the category dedicated to the best actor. No candidacy, at least for now, of Robert Downey Jr, but that does not mean that the actor plays Iron Man cannot be taken into consideration or named later. It is certainly a shame not to see the name of Robert Downey Jr, especially in a year when the best actor category is crowded with the likes of Adam Driver, Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Eddie Murphy, Matt Damon and Christian Bale, among others.
