The ending of Avengers Infinity War undoubtedly rocked the entire fanbase, giving us probably one of the strongest moments in the entire MCU. But the writers Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have provided a more precise explanation about the events we have witnessed, are throwing further fuel on the fire, specifying that Avengers 4 will not lift the tragic fate of the final bars, or at least not in the way we expect. In fact, all the deaths we have witnessed throughout the entire film are permanent. Specifically, the writer released a statement on the matter:
Avengers 4 will be a very different movie. Also, the deaths are real. I just want to tell you that what you have seen is real, and the sooner you accept it, the easier it will be to overcome the pain.
This, however, it doesn't mean that some of the heroes won't return, as new films dedicated to Spiderman, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther are planned. Simply, for those who survive, nothing will be the same again, and if with Infinity War the aim was to break the hearts of the fans, with the fourth chapter the intention will be to freak out. Inserting the deaths of notable characters like Black Panther and Spider-Man indicates that Thanos is serious, and to give a greater impact to the entire film. Furthermore, we learn that in the fourth chapter all those characters who have had a decidedly reduced screentime in Infinity War will have a more relevant space, in particular Captain America and the Black Widow.
Added to this is the already confirmed presence of Hawk eye, for which a story of a certain depth has been written. To understand the events that will take place in Avengers 4, Markus and Stephen McFeely add that it will be of great importance to see Ant-man and the Wasp first, and Captain Marvel, whose films will be released before the expected fourth episode. The situation, for our heroes, therefore appears anything but rosy, so we just have to wait anxiously Avengers 4, whose arrival is scheduled for next year. In the meantime, however, we invite you to read our review on Infinity War if you have not yet done so.
