In the past hours Ubisoft had announced the contents of the Collector's Edition di Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which will be equipped with a multitude of collectibles, including one statuette of the protagonist Eivor, a set of lithographs exclusive, the colonna sonora original and a statue depicting thefemale alter-ego of Eivor and his Drakkar, or the classic ship belonging to the Viking civilization. In conjunction with this, however, it was specified that the Collector's Edition for Xbox One it would not have had the game disc inside but only a code to download the digital version.
Whereas the same Collector's Edition on PlayStation 4 it will be regularly provided with the physical copy, as initially foreseen also for Microsoft's software platform, which has sent Xbox users into a rage. What convinced Ubisoft to retrace its steps announced that, following the feedback received, it has decided to return to the original offer and ship the physical game instead of the digital version to all who will buy Collector's for Xbox One.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be a title cross-gen, and therefore will be available for both this generation and next generation consoles. Specifically, the title will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Google Stadia and PC starting from the next November 17 2020 as far as the current generation consoles are concerned. In addition, owners of the title on current-gen will get the next-gen version for free via a free update.
