Ubisoft +, the subscription service renamed UPlay +, is currently available only on PC and cloud streaming services such as Amazon Moon e Google Stadia. Tuttavia, Jeff Grubb is confident that Microsoft is trying to find a deal to bring Ubisoft Plus to the top of their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which would therefore also bring it to consoles Xbox Series X / S. There is precedent for this type of operation, given the recent addition of EA Play on Xbox Game Pass. These are the words of Grubb:
I think it's Ubisoft +, yes. I think that's exactly what it is. I'm not sure, but that's my guess, and they are trying to make it happen. What it looks like, if they're adding another $ 5 thing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or if there will be more levels to complement all of these things, I honestly don't know - I'm speculating. But I think they are trying to find a way to bring Ubisoft +. I think it could be a big deal.
In fact, it is good to remember that while EA Play has been added to Xbox Game Pass for free, Microsoft is unlikely to do the same for Ubisoft +. This is because EA Play is priced at only $ 4,99 while Ubisoft's subscription service is much more expensive, requiring $ 14,99 monthly subscription (the same figure as EA Play Pro). If the deal is successful, it will be interesting to see how customers react to having to pay a higher price: Grubb fears the possibility that Ubisoft + will only be available with an increase in the price of the service. Ubisoft + includes all the latest games from the developer, such as Immortals: Fenyx Rising, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Far Cry New Dawn, The Division 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Far Cry 5, Rainbow Six Siege, Anno 1800, The Crew 2, For Honor, Trials Rising and even many older titles like Splinter Cell Blacklist and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. We just have to wait to find out if we can soon expand our Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library, and especially if it will cost us more.
