To unleash new rumors about Battlefield 6 is now a Reddit user known by the nick of William_Fichtner. Apparently, the new shooter developed by DICE (on behalf of Electronic Arts) will be set during the Third World war, therefore a little ahead of the historical period we are experiencing. Battlefield 6, expected to launch by the end of 2021, could therefore boast a rather modern setting as far as equipment and paraphernalia is concerned, with who knows what infernal ultra-technological gadgets to unleash on the virtual battlefields (rather boundless, among other things, if traditions are respected).
Wanting to give credit to what was published on Reddit, therefore, Battlefield 6 should tell of one violent clash between NATO and Russia and the episodes "War Stories" dedicated to the single player experience, as in Battlefield 5, should lead the same to visit various parts of the world, to justify a remarkable level of variety regarding the offer related to the game environments, another distinctive feature of the series developed by DICE. Other details described in the post concern the maps and multiplayer mode. As a rumor, as always, we invite you to take this information with a grain of salt: it could all be true, as much as it could be a colossal fake, (in case, we would have spent a few minutes of our life fantasizing about the new chapter of Battlfield).
Here are the highlights of the post, (here the original rumor on Reddit):
One of the War Stories will feature a US Army squad repelling a Russian attack on the American suburbs. Another will feature an MI6 agent incorporated into a rebel group in Eastern Europe, with the aim of stopping a Russian advance into NATO territory.
The multiplayer will be huge in size and will feature 64v64 combat on PC and next generation consoles. Modes coming to MP include TDM, Domination, Conquest, Breakthrough, and Grand Operations.
The last chapter to be published in the series created by DICE is Battlefield V, released in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In case you missed it, or you just want to brush up your memory on the last chapter, we invite you to take a look at our review. About a month ago Electronic Arts had expressed itself on the future of some of its historic franchises, like Battlefield, in fact.
